A Disease Caused by Asbestos Exposure – Asbestosis
Exposure to asbestos can cause a rare form of cancer called mesothelioma. Asbestos is found in workplaces where industries use it during manufacturing processes. Every year, thousands of people are affected by it all over the world. Besides, the components of tobacco smoke also induce oxidative DNA damage. This oxidative DNA damage is related to an increased risk of developing several degenerative chronic diseases which includes coronary heart disease and the dysfunctional cells (cancer).
